Neighborhood Leadership Council

The Neighborhood Leadership Council is an initiative of the Muncie Action Plan that brings together neighborhood association leaders from across the city of Muncie to share best practices, take advantage of educational opportunities, and connect with local resources and area non-profits. The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month on the third floor of the E.B. and Bertha C. Ball Center (400 W. Minnetrista Pkwy) at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Join us at our next NLC Meeting!

NEXT MONTH…It’s time for our annual Neighborhoods Celebration! Dorica Watson, Director of Community Engagement at Open Door Health Services, will lead us in a celebration of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in our neighborhoods.

Save the Date: Tuesday, November 19th from 6-7 p.m. @ E.B. Ball

We need your help!

We’re beginning to plan the March 2025 IDEA Conference and it’s our 10th YEAR! In celebration of this milestone, please help us select sessions you would like to see return from the past 10 years. We’ve prepared a quick survey for you to select your four favorites or to provide feedback on what new sessions you would like to attend.

Hey neighbor! Our August NLC meeting was engaging and we learned a lot about trust from our friend Mitch Isaacs, Executive Director of Shafer Leadership Academy.   For those who were not able to attend, we wanted to make sure you had a copy of the presentation and for the CenterPoint Scholars a copy of the homework.

Speaking of crowdfunding…   Patronicity just announced its Lighter, Quicker, Cheaper Challenge (LQC Challenge). This is a new challenge grant program from Patronicity. Changemakers with projects that use Lighter, Quicker, Cheaper strategies to make improvements to communities that are inexpensive, flexible, and quick to deploy are eligible to participate!   If your neighborhood is not a 501c3, MAP has a way to partner in order to utilize the organization’s non-profit status. MAP’s mission is to improve quality of life in our community and is here to help!
